Normal retirement
When you reach your Normal Pension Age, the Scheme will pay you a pension based on your final pensionable salary and years of service, to a maximum of 40 years.
You can request to work beyond your Normal Pension Age and continue to be a member of the Scheme, and in these circumstances, you can build up service to a maximum of 45 years.
With agreement from MRC, you may be able to continue working beyond your Normal Pension Age but draw your pension at the same time. If you are interested in this option, you should speak to the Scheme administrators, Mercer, as there are conditions that apply.
